Every time there is a football match, my friends and I always come to a café near our office to watch it together. We order food and beer and have relax conversations before we watch the games. I think it’s just not us. Many people from all over our country gathered around to watch football, in the café or bar like us, or in house with their family. We all cheer our favorite team, mad when they lose, and jump around happily if they win. But as I come home tonight after New York Giants, my favorite team, beat their opposites; I realize that I didn’t know much about American Football championship league.
So after I realized it, I sat down in my living room reading a book given by friend a couple months ago. I read that American football are started to play from middle of 19th century. No one knows who that brings football from England to United States. Instead of using the round ball like Englishmen did, people in United States change it into different shape. The first official football games were known as Bowl games. It is a championship in the college that taken in the early 20th century. It is a games that played mostly by college students that time. From Bowl Games, there were some people who gathered to form American Professional Football Associations. That time was 1920. In 1922, it was changed into National Football League or NFL. The associations now had been the biggest sport association in United States. Since that time, the popularity of football has been increased very fast. In 1958, NFL decided to make a game named NFL champion games.
But two years after that, a championship league was made by NFL’s rival, American Football League or known as AFL. Many people wanted this two different league united as one. And after many discussions and negotiations, the two championships league united and became Super Bowl. The first Super Bowl era was happened in 1960s and gathered many success. The first winner was Green Bay Packer who won respectively in two seasons, 1966 and 1967. But beside it popularity, football and the championship league gain many critics because of the changing of rules, and controversies. Besides that, there is many people criticize football as too rough and full of violence. Many athlete get injured or fighting each other in many games. But even though many people criticize, football championship games is the most watching sport games in United States.

Last month, Joe and I went to holiday and we decided to visit Bali, a beautiful island in Indonesia. Beside the amazing holiday, there is one thing that I keep thinking when I went back to San Diego. The last day we stayed in Bali, we were hanging around in a café with our foreign friends who we met there. Suddenly Joe checked his tablet. Then he said, “Dude, we should go and find a TV cable here. About a half hour again, there will be Super Bowl match, you remember?” Edward, my Australia friend smiled and said, “Wow. You guys, our American fellow, are surely in love with American football.”
I guess Edward was right. We are really like football. I myself am a college football player. Since I was a kid, I grow up in a family with the men, my dad and my grandfather, love to see Super Bowl. Well, that should be no surprise since Grandpa was one of the players in Green Bay Packer back in 1960s. Grandpa used to play there for four years until he hurt his back in a game then decided to end his career. Green Bay Packer is one of the strongest team in Super Bowl competition in the 1960s. It was beat Oakland Raiders and Kansas City Chef and won their first trophy. Super Bowl is the highest and greatest football championship in United States which held annually. All famous football clubs in United States were in the battle to win and take home The Vince Lombardi Trophy. The competitions are rough since many football clubs have ambitious to win. The matches were held in fifteen different regions. To respect the last season’s winner, the first matches always held in the winner stadium. For example the last first match of this year was held in Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, since the winner of last season, The New York Giants.
I’m quiet excited last season because The New York Giants is my favorite team and they played well last year. I wish they play as well in this new season of Super Bowl. The matches of Super Bowl alone always become a great event because many great singers come to sing the national anthem. The opening championship is always great with thousands of spectators. Super Bowl is a championship with the most viewers all over the worlds. And as Edward said, even though we went long away from home, we will find TV to watch Super Bowl. Because it is always be part of all American.
